The Freestore Foodbank School Pantry Program

Dear Parent/Guardian(s):
RULH will remain a selected site for The Freestore Foodbank School Pantry program, a program of Feeding America and providing emergency food for students and families. The School Pantry program gives students the resources they need to feel secure in their home life and thereby their attention toward succeeding in school. We are very fortunate to receive such a wonderful grant. Please do not hesitate to ask us for anything your family needs.
A fully stocked food pantry is located in the high school and allows staff to send snacks, meals and other supplies home for students and their families. Food will be distributed twice a month on the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month, unless there is a holiday or break. Bags will be pre-packed at the high school for those students signed up at the Elementary. Junior and senior high students may choose items from the pantry to take home. Your child will bring the bag home on the school bus, unless you prefer to pick it up. If you prefer to pick up, please note that on the form and call your child’s counselor to arrange pick up.
Please fill out and return the enclosed form to school to participate in our school pantry. If you have more than one child, you may sign all of them up (by putting all of their names on the top line); alternatively, if you only want one bag per week, please designate a child you’d like for us to send the bag with by only putting his/her name on the line. You must list everyone in the Household and their ages on the lines provided. This information will ONLY be used for data for the grant.
